MODEL 1300, 1301, 1303 PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION
(RFI Filter “C” and High SPL “A” Options)
The 1300 series microphones are designed to be mounted near the lips where they give a smooth close talking response while eliminating background noise. Three noise cancelling modes operate together to give 20-30 dB noise reduction: (A) The small size and short distance between front and rear ports reduces the sensitivity at l kHz to far field noise by 12 dB compared to the close talking response, (B) noise at lower frequencies is attenuated additionally, and (C) the bidirectional response reduces 90° incident noise by 20 dB more and random noise by 5dB more compared to o~axis voice.
Model 1300 has a wide band response to 10 kHz while model 1303 is limited to 5 kHz and acoustically filters the higher frequencies which are unwanted on most communications systems. Model 1301 has an intermediate frequency response. All are supplied in version "C" with an internal low pass filter to eliminate radio frequency interference (RFI). Optional version "A" (which may be combined with "C") permits distortion-free operation up to 145 dB sound fields.
