Custom faceplates for the hearing health industry
Resistance Technology's design and engineering team is dedicated to assisting the hearing instrument manufacturer optimize new faceplate designs, using our proven Systems Integration approach. We take a synergistic view to systems engineering by addressing the faceplate as an assembly rather than a piece part. RTI's experience building custom volume controls, trimmers, switches, and hybrid circuits is incorporated into the overall faceplate design equation. Ultimately this process will enhance your final faceplate/shell assembly.

Standard and custom faceplates
RTI has a unique line of faceplate products that cover the range of hearing instrument battery sizes, consisting of 13, 312, 10A and 5A. In addition to these standard faceplate types, RTI will custom-design and manufacture a faceplate based on your needs and product features.

Faceplate Technologies and Innovations
Our new line of miniature CIC faceplates are injection-insert molded with battery contacts in position for precise battery alignment. RTI's faceplate technology covers the following key areas:

• Contoured battery door features a unique center fingernail lift tab and smooth repeatable door action.
• Faceplate technology Some of our faceplates have a reduced thickness of only .040" (1.02mm) and simplified faceplate-to shell assembly that improves overall seal integrity. Faceplates are designed with stackable legs for improving in-process assembly.
• Engineered chamfered adhesive ring for positive volume control attachment.
• Various trimmer and microphone positioning configurations are available and the trimmer set screw can be flush-mounted or recessed below the faceplate.
• Some battery contacts have a specialized solder tab to improve solderability and manufacturability.
• Computer-blended color matching process ensures that consistent color appearance is maintained.
• Material Tenite propionate.
• Surface finish of faceplate is available in a pebble appearance.
